First Communion Card

This card was made for a friend's granddaughter for her First Communion.  I finally used my Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder for the first time...which was way overdue.  It is such a pretty folder!  You should see how this card shines in real life.  I used Gold Mirricard for a metal look.

Stamps:  Crosses of Hope
CS:  Regal Rose, Shimmery White, Melon Mambo, Gold Mirricard [non-SU]
Ink:  Whisper White Craft Pad, Melon Mambo Classic Pad
Markers:  Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, So Saffron
Accessories:  Big Shot, Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Rhinestone Jewels, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Paper Snips, SU Dimensionals

Metal Rose Card

This card uses a thin sheet of metal for the main image.  I made this card at our Rubber Ducky meeting last month.  We stamped our images on metal using a Black StazOn Ink Pad and then used a stylus to go along both sides of the stamped image.  We then colored the metal with alcohol based markers.  This card is very pretty in real life.  I added some yellow to the designer paper to match the yellow ink I added to the rose.
Stamp:  Non-Stampin' Up! --- I think it is from PSX
CS:  Whisper White, Non-SU Designer Paper
Ink:  Black StazOn Ink Pad, Alcohol Based Markers
Accessories:  Thin metal sheet, Stylus, Foam Mat, Oval & Oval Mat Dies, Accucut Machine

Purses made with new Petite Purse Die

I had time this evening to play with our new Petite Purse Die from the Summer Smooches promotion.  You only need two small strips of adhesive and the purse is together and ready to decorate.  How easy is that!!!!  All you need is an 8" x 5 1/4" piece of card stock or Designer Series Paper, Adhesive, and whatever supplies you want to decorate it.

I'll be making a purse for each of my customers who come to our upcoming April Stamp-A-Stack on Thursday, April 12th at 6:30pm.  Let me know you are coming and I'll get one put together for you.

Happy Stamping!  Judy  :)

Sweet Cake

I am loving the stamp set Sweet Cake in the Occasions Mini catalog and finally got a chance to use it. For two male birthdays this past month, I thought these colors would work well.  I love the Island Indigo Paper Stack and Baja Breeze together.  It probably doesn't look like it but there was a lot of cutting involved in this card.  It was worth the effort though.  Since this is a solid image stamp, I first took a SU's Sanding Block and lightly sanded the whole stamp so the ink would cover without any empty spots.   You also need to be sure there isn't any glitter on your stamp pad...because each tiny speck of glitter will leave a spot on your paper...not a good thing.  :)

Stamp Set:  Sweet Cake
CS:  Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Paper Stack:  2011-2013 In Color Patterns DSP Pack
Ink:  Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip Classic Pads
Markers:  Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Real Red
Accessories:   Paper Snips, Crystal Effects, SU Dimensionals
