Welcome to the September TOUR DE FREAKS!   We are featuring fall and holiday items found in the new Holiday Catalog.  There are lots of wonderful items to pick from.  You may have come from Melissa Davies blog.  Her projects are always fun to see.

I thought I would show you a basic card and then a stepped up version to show how easy it is to give your card that finished look.  Here's a basic card.  It is an okay card...

NOW... look at this stepped up card.  It is like adding frosting to the cake.  I taught this card at our September Stamp -A-Stack.

Here is a basic card.

Now on the stepped up version, I've added Green Marker to the trees, a red ribbon at the top and Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Dazzling Details Glitter Glue.  This is the card I taught at our Stamp Camp North at the Westminster Elks Lodge today.

Sheltering Tree

This card has a nice surprise.  You pull the ribbon on the left and the tree comes through the opening.  It's a fancy fold card.  Bev Derringer made this at our July Stamp Camp North at the Westminster Elks Lodge.  The next Stamp Camp North will be in September and we will also have a garage sale with lots of finished cards and 3D projects to sell....as well as our camp where you make 10 cards with envelopes for $25.  It's a great deal and all the demonstrators do such a nice job.

The next card was made using a new stamp set called "You've Got This".  We made a similar card at our Rocky Mountain Stamper Meeting.  Coloring was done with reinkers and a paint brush.

Gentle Peace - My favorite Christmas Card

Christmas is still in the air.  Below is my favorite Christmas card.  I didn't teach this one at a camp because it would have taken too long...but it is worth the effort..  I only sent out few of these.  If you put a battery operated tealight behind the front of the card, the light shines through.
