August Tour de Freaks Go Back to School :)

It's time again for our monthly tour de Freaks blog tour!  This month the Freaks are sharing Back to School ideas.  If you've just arrived from the great  Gretchen Barron's blog, you are well on your journey.  If this is your first stop, go to the bottom of each post and click on "Click here for the next stop on the blog tour" and you will see everyone's creations.  There are seven stops this month.  Enjoy!  :)

I thought and thought and thought some more and came up with this card.  It dawned on me, this is my first ever Back to School card.  There is a first time for everything.

The bundle of books just screamed to me... "Hi Ho Hi Ho, It's off to School We Go".  Finished!

Stamps:  Greeting Card Kids
CS:  Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Whisper White, Shimmer Champagne Glitter Paper
Ink:  Basic Black, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, More Mustard,
Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue, So Saffron
Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits. Woodgrain Embosslit, SU Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber, Color-copied Apple

Now for a 3D Matching Set.  On the left is a notepad with the pen attached to the front cover.  Pretty nifty! On the right is another notepad holder but with a pen and pocket inside.  On the bottom right is a bookmark with this same theme.   I love that these are black and white.  I used an alcohol based marker to color the Rhinestone Jewels a bright yellow.  They really pop and look classy in person.  These would be great for the college bound young lady to keep her notes handy and her book marked in style.   :)

This next picture shows the notepad on the right...but opened.  It is a Notepad Holder with a Pen and Pocket inside.  I added a calendar to make it more useful and yellow rhinestones for some bling inside.  This matching set was my door prize for Stamp Camp North today.  I try to make my door prizes something hand stamped to make it more special.

Stamps:  Mixed Bunch
CS:  Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Punch:  Blossom Punch
Accessories:  Crystal Effects, Dazzling Details, Glue Dots, Bone Folder, 5/8" Black
           Grosgrain Ribbon
Miscellaneous:  Notepads from the office supply store, Yellow alcohol-based Marker

You can head on over to the next stop, Cindy Major's blog, where you'll find great projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!   Judy  :)

Love your stationery set, Judy ... It looks stunning.
To save re-inventing the wheel, do you have any measurements for making this set? The notepad is my favorite! Thanks for sharing your creative ideas.

  5. This black and white set is stunning! Really catches the eye. You have listed white CS only...and no DSP. What is the black and white paper, please?
    Thanks, Sheila
