Truly Grateful

This card was created by Chris Pereira using Lovely As a Tree.  She also used some of the Washi Tape that Stampin' Up! sells..  I seem to be hoarding the Washi Tape...like I do the DSP.  I need to get over that and have fun with all the wonderful supplies I have.

In the winter the trees aren't as pretty as they are the rest of the year.  We are just thankful that the snow waited to dump on us until after our trees shed their leaves.  There have been so many years that we would lay in bed and listen to the limbs break and break and break.  This year won't include those memories, thank heavens!!!!  :)

Thanks for stopping  by.

Harvest of Blessings

This card was created by Amy Casal at one of our Stamp Camps at the Westminster Elks Lodge.  It has such a nice fall feel to it.  The stamp set used was Harvest of Thanks in the Holiday mini catalog.  I couldn't find the designer paper she used so it may be from a previous catalog.  Amy used one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies.

This is my week of Thanks.  I am thankful for my family and all the friends I have accumulated over the years.  Each one of you has shaped me to be the person I am.  Thank you.  :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Gently Falling

This card was made by Aimee Pankau at a recent Stamp-a-Stack using the Gently Falling stamp set.  This set has a set of outline leaves and a set of the filler leaves.  There is so much we can do with this set.

Used was Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock.  I love how Aimee used the Button and the Linen Thread.  I seem to be a button hoarder.  I buy them and buy them...and they don't show up on any of my cards.  My buttons are lonely in their little containers on the shelf.

I never thought I would be hoarder until I started stamping.  I have enough supplies for us all to play for a very, very long time.  :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Trick or Treat - Best of Halloween

This card was made by my upline, Connie Ingram at our September Stamp a Stack.  It uses Best of Halloween.  I'm loving the series of stamp sets that Stampin' Up! is putting out each month to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.  The DSP is from last year, I think.

Here is another nice card made by Connie.  I love the Sweater Weather DSP!   The stamp set is called Truly Grateful from the Holiday Mini catalog.

Thanks for stopping by.

Everything is Coming Up Halloween - Control Freaks Halloween Blog Tour

Welcome to our September Control Freaks Blog Tour.  We are featuring Halloween this month.  You may have come from Jan Tinklenberg's blog or are starting here.

The first card is a tweaked version of my Perfect Blend card.  It has Halloween colors but is good for anytime.

Stamp Set:  Perfect Blend
CS:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Witches Brew, Modern Medley
Ink:  Basic Black Classic Pad
Punches:  Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch
Accessories:  Rhinestone Jewels, Paper Snips, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
+ + + + + + + + + +

My next card uses the new Circle Thinlits Card Die.  It is so easy to use and makes a wonderfully fun card.  To make the extra fold for inside the card, you put the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock through the opening of the die so it doesn't get cut off.  That gives the extra flap to be able to write in.  Pretty cool idea.  What an easy way to make a WOW card.

My last card uses the new Envelope Punch Board which can be used for more than just envelopes.  I made a File Folder card.  I could have rounded the top corners but wanted the squared off version.
